Coronation Big Lunch

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

We are pleased to announce the upcoming Coronation Big Lunch, taking place starting at 12 O’Clock on Sunday, 7th May! We would be delighted to have you join us in celebrating this special day with good company, fun activities, and of course, a delicious feast.

In the spirit of community and togetherness, we are organising a “Bring and Share” event, where everyone contributes a dish to the communal table. Here’s what you need to know:

🍲 Bring as much food as you would eat: To ensure there’s enough for everyone, please bring a portion that you would typically consume during a meal.

🥗 Variety is key: Feel free to bring meat or veggie dishes, as well as appetisers, salads, main courses, or desserts. We’ll have something for everyone!

🍖 BBQ team on hand: If your dish requires cooking, worry not! We’ll have a team manning a couple of BBQs to grill up your meat and veggie creations to perfection.

⚠️We kindly request that you label your dish with any allergens it may contain so that everyone can make informed choices. 

♻️ Coronation themed recyclable paper plates, napkins, and cups, plus cutlery will be provided to make this event as eco-friendly as possible!

🎉 Exciting activities: To make the day even more enjoyable, we will have a bouncy castle for the kids (and the young at heart), live music to keep your feet tapping, and Pimms for sale to quench your thirst.

🌤️ Location: The event will be held on Water Lane, outside the village hall if the weather permits. In case of rain, we’ll move the festivities indoors to the village hall, ensuring a fantastic time, come rain or shine.

💰 Fundraising: We will be raising money during the Coronation Big Lunch to cover the costs of the event. Any excess funds collected will be generously donated to our nominated charity Winston’s Wish (winstonswishttps://www.winstonswish.org/) who support grieving children and young people after the death of someone important. Your support will not only make this gathering memorable but also positively impact the lives of those in need.
